Working as part of our office team, the role is to support our customers with their enquiry and throughout the ordering process, there are some elements of advising customers on the best possible window covering solutions and quoting a customer whilst working alongside the Innovation Blinds and Shutters team.

Key skills and experience

  • Excellent customer relationship experience and understanding with a 100% customer service focus
  • A genuine passion and interest in the Blinds and Shutters world
  • Highly motivated, organised and driven
  • A consultative and understanding customer approach with excellent communication skills
  • Happy working in a small team
  • Must have a “can do” attitude
  • The ability to “muck in” and be self sufficient
  • A follow-through attitude is important
  • An empathetic nature
  • Ideally working in a similar or allied market for a minimum of 5 years (preferred)
  • “local area” knowledge
  • Excellent communicator.
  • An eye for detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phone/ Reply to messages promptly
  • Customer contact/telephone appointments and office/diary management
  • Purchase Ordering
  • Email prospects/customers as required (chase ups etc) updating our surveyors
  • Greeting and helping showroom visitors
  • Delivery checking in with another member of staff
  • Database inputting and maintenance/ Archive
  • Action sample requests for customers with suppliers
  • After-care/Checkatrade chasing
  • Chasing supplier order confirmations/progressing
  • Sales order close-off
  • Sales Quotes as required
  • Mail-order support (Quoting and Ordering)
  • Other duties as may be required (Hoover/empty bins)
  • Maintenance of showroom sample books/decks
  • Email survey reminders to customers
  • Distributing survey appointments for following week to staff
  • Create ‘Job packs’ for installers for the week ahead

Requirements and Education

  • Essential: A levels or equivalent
  • Desirable: a relevant degree

Other information

  • Full time position
  • 40 hour week. Normal hours 8am to 5pm
  • Full training provided.
